Job summary

ColumbiaCare Services in Medford, OR is seeking a Peer Support Specialist for the Rental Assistance Program (RAP). The role focuses on helping individuals navigate housing applications, access benefits, and connect with community resources.

You will build trust using lived experience and support housing searches, moving arrangements, and financial coordination. The position emphasizes independent living skills coaching, cultural sensitivity, and crisis de-escalation training as part of ongoing

Qualifications

Must have personal experience with mental health challenges.
Be certified and registered as a PSS or PWS through the Oregon Health Authority (OHA).
Ability to drive and pass a DHS background check.

Responsibilities

Assist individuals with navigating housing applications, HUD forms, and benefits systems.
Conduct housing searches and coordinate moving arrangements.
Manage funds to ensure timely rent payments to landlords.
Provide skills training in independent living and community navigation.
Offer crisis de-escalation support and connect clients to community resources.
