Job summary

Carolina Outreach seeks a full-time Peer Support Specialist to join its Community Support Team in North Carolina. You will deliver clinical services including tenancy support, service coordination, symptom management, counseling and daily living assistance, while promoting client independence and family involvement.

You will apply PSH, CBT strategies, motivational interviewing and harm reduction within a supportive, mission-driven organization offering flexible scheduling and growth

Qualifications

• Must have completed certification for Peer Support Specialists.
• At least two years of sustained recovery from mental health or substance use issues.
• NVCI certification and related training required.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation and notes.
• Collaborate with care teams and participate in supervision as applicable.
• Ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
