Job summary

EMPACT-SPC, part of La Frontera Arizona, is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to help individuals navigate behavioral health services and community resources. The role emphasizes using lived experience to support others and to serve as a guide within the recovery team.

Responsibilities include developing recovery plans, connecting clients to supports, and maintaining thorough documentation. Evening/weekend coverage may be required, with supervision and ongoing duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to obtain Peer Support Specialist Certificate.
• Must be a recipient or have received services through the community behavioral health system.
• Able and willing to share experience of receiving behavioral health services.

Responsibilities

• Model skills to navigate the behavioral health system and advocate as a system guide.
• Provide direct support and act as an active member of the Adult Recovery Team.
• Develop and implement a self-directed recovery plan with personal experience sharing.
• Produce complete clinical documentation of services rendered, billable and non-billable.
