Job summary
La Frontera EMPACT - Suicide Prevention Center is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to use lived experience to help individuals navigate behavioral health services. The role emphasizes advocacy, direct client support, and collaboration with the Adult Recovery Team.
Responsibilities include developing recovery plans, connecting clients with community resources, and thorough documentation. A high school diploma and ability to obtain the peer certificate are required, along with valid AZ driving
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must be able to obtain Peer Support Specialist Certificate.
- Must be a recipient or have received services through the community behavioral health system.
- Able and willing to share experience of receiving behavioral health services.
- A valid AZ Driver's License with no major infractions in past 39 months.
Responsibilities
- Model skills to maneuver within the behavioral health system and act as a guide and advocate.
- Provide direct support to individuals and participate as a member of the Adult Recovery Team.
- Develop and implement recovery plans; assist with community resources and scheduling.
- Produce complete, timely clinical documentation of all services rendered.
