La Frontera Center Inc. is seeking a Peer Support Specialist at EMPACT-SPC in Apache Junction, AZ. The role emphasizes using lived experience to guide individuals through the behavioral health system, providing direct support, and collaborating with an Adult Recovery Team.

The candidate will develop recovery plans, connect clients with community resources, and document services thoroughly. A high school diploma or GED, a Peer Support Specialist Certificate, and a valid AZ driver’s license are

Qualifications

Must have high school diploma or GED.
Must obtain Peer Support Specialist Certificate.
Must be a recipient or have received services through the community behavioral health system.
Must have valid AZ driver’s license with clean record.
Regular access to reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

Model skills to maneuver in the behavioral health system as a system guide and advocate.
Provide direct support and act as an active team member on the Adult Recovery Team.
Develop and implement self-directed recovery plans with client involvement.
Assist with connecting individuals to community resources and reduce barriers to services.
Document services thoroughly and maintain quality clinical paperwork.
