Job summary
EMPACT-SPC, part of La Frontera Arizona, is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to help individuals navigate the behavioral health system and provide direct support within the Adult Recovery Team.
Qualified candidates have lived experience with behavioral health services, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid Arizona driver's license. Evening/weekend hours may be required and driving the company van or a personal vehicle is expected.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must be able to obtain Peer Support Specialist Certificate.
- Must be a recipient or have received services through the community behavioral health system.
- Must be 21 years of age or older at time of employment.
- Must have a valid AZ Driver's License with no major infractions in past 39 months.
Responsibilities
- Model skills to maneuver within the behavioral health system and act as a guide and advocate.
- Provide direct support to the individual served and be an active member of the Adult Recovery Team.
- Develop and implement self-directed recovery plans with client, sharing experience and teaching self-management techniques.
- Help connect individuals to community resources and assist with applications as needed.
- Produce complete, timely, thorough documentation of services rendered.
