Job summary

Southwest Behavioral & Health Services is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist to support clients on their recovery journey in Flagstaff. You will coordinate with clinical teams, assist with skills training, case management, and group activities, and connect clients with community resources to foster success.

The role emphasizes compassionate, client-centered support, including transportation, documentation, and on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

• Must be 22 years old with a High School diploma or GED.
• Complete a qualified Peer Support Training within 90 days of hire.
• Must maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license and pass vehicle screening to transport clients.
• Prior experience as a recipient of Behavioral Health services.
• Fingerprint clearance issued by the Arizona DPS or eligible to receive upon offer.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentoring/support to individuals/families in services in coordination with clinical services.
• Assist designated clinical personnel in completing specified support activities.
• Provide education and support to family members.
• Plan and organize activities within the outpatient structure.
• Complete daily paperwork requirements, including assigned clinical record documentation.
• Collaborate with clinical teams and case managers to advocate for the best interest of the client.
• Transport client as appropriate in SB&H vehicle.
• May be required to cover evening/weekend hours and be “on call” as required.
• Participate in at least weekly clinical overnight in accordance with ADHS requirements.
• Transport members to appointments.
• Additional job duties may be required to meet program needs.
