Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to provide recovery-oriented, community-based services to adults with behavioral health diagnoses. The role emphasizes mentoring, group activities, and adherence to CRSS ethics while supporting recovery plans.

You will collaborate with healthcare providers and community resources, coordinate with ERS when additional assessment and services are needed, and document all interactions and progress to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver recovery-oriented services to adults with behavioral health needs.
• Mentor individuals and facilitate self-advocacy and group activities.
• Follow CRSS ethics while supporting consumer recovery plans.
• Coordinate with ERS and mental health services as needed.
• Document accurately and maintain client records.
• Engage with community resources and volunteer opportunities.
