Job summary

Colorado Coalition for the Homeless in Denver seeks a Peer Specialist to provide wraparound support, housing access, benefits navigation, and client-centered services within SSRCC. You will use lived experience to mentor clients and connect them with needed resources.

This role emphasizes recovery, coordination with internal teams and community partners, documentation in the EHR, and respectful, trauma-informed engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience as a peer specialist serving individuals facing homelessness or behavioral health challenges.
• Bi-lingual English-Spanish and/or ASL preferred.
• Must obtain Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and support clients using lived experience to build skills in goal setting and problem solving.
• Facilitate counseling and activities for clients in recovery from substance use disorders.
• Coordinate and navigate healthcare, housing, benefits, and other services with internal teams and partners.
• Transport and escort clients to appointments using a CCH vehicle or approved personal vehicle.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure timely, recovery-oriented services and maintain up-to-date documentation.
• Engage in outreach and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
