Qualifications

• Personal recovery experience with at least two years in sustained recovery.
• Certification as Peer Recovery Coach or equivalent credential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage diverse populations.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional behavioral health education is a plus.
• Experience in community-based recovery programs.
• Knowledge of local, state, and national recovery resources.
• Training in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention.
• Familiarity with EHR and case management software.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one peer support leveraging lived experience.
• Help clients set recovery goals and actionable plans.
• Connect clients with community resources, treatment options, and support groups.
• Advocate for clients across healthcare, social, and legal systems.
• Facilitate group recovery meetings and educational workshops.
• Maintain confidential documentation of client interactions.
• Collaborate with counselors, social workers, and healthcare providers.
