Job summary

New Freedom seeks a dedicated Peer Coach to provide recovery-oriented support to members in our programs. Drawing on lived experience, you will help participants recognize strengths, set meaningful recovery goals, and develop healthy coping strategies.

You’ll collaborate with Re-Entry Specialists and clinical staff to support engagement, continuity of care, and progress toward individualized goals. This on-site role may involve local travel and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and 21+ years old.
• Lived recovery experience and PRSS certification preferred.
• Behavioral Health Technician designation or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support, encouragement, and recovery coaching.
• Help members develop and achieve recovery and reentry goals.
• Connect members with resources, services, and community supports.
• Facilitate member engagement through individual and group interactions.
• Partner with treatment-team members to support positive outcomes.
• Monitor member progress and communicate concerns appropriately.
• Support community activities, appointments, and transportation needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation, confidentiality, and compliance standards.
