Qualifications

• Lived experience with mental health, substance use, or homelessness services.
• NYCPS certification preferred for eligibility.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Teaches skills for personal hygiene, laundry and apartment cleaning.
• Monitors maintenance and safety of living units and reports issues.
• Teaches budgeting, shopping, meal planning, preparation and cleanup.
• Teaches self-preservation and monitors safety and cleanliness of living units.
• Administers the client cooking safety test.
• Monitors and documents self-administration of medication per policy.
• Reports incidents or changes in residents to supervisor.
• Teaches travel skills and escorts clients as needed.
• Facilitates or co-facilitates groups as requested.
• Documents services and client progress promptly.
