ACMH, Inc. is seeking a Peer Program Specialist for the East 144th Street site in The Bronx. The role provides direct in-home support, teaching daily living skills and assisting with recovery goals within a community-based program.

The position requires lived experience with mental health/substance use/homeless services, and completion of NYCPS certification is preferred. The schedule is Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, with hourly pay around $22.

Qualifikationen

• Lived experience with mental health, substance use, or homeless services is required.
• New York NYCPS certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Aufgaben

• Teach skills for personal hygiene, laundry, and apartment cleaning.
• Monitor maintenance and report issues to supervisor.
• Instruct budgeting, shopping, meal planning, and food preparation.
• Teach self-preservation and monitor safety and cleanliness in living units.
• Administer and monitor medication self-administration per policy.
• Escort clients for travel and facilitate or co-facilitate groups as needed.
• Document services and client progress in a timely manner.
• Support client advocacy and communication with supports and treatment teams.
