Job summary

ACMH, Inc. in New York seeks a Peer Program Specialist (Scattered Site) to provide direct in-home support, teaching essential daily living skills and promoting recovery for clients in the Bronx area. Schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with supervision by the Program Director.

Applicants must have lived experience with mental health or related services; NYCPS certification is preferred. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. The role includes generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with mental health, substance use, or homelessness services.
• NYCPS certification preferred.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct services in clients' homes.
• Teaches daily living skills and budgeting.
• Monitors maintenance of apartments and safety.
• Teaches cooking safety and self-administration of medication.
• Documents services and client progress.
• Escorts clients and facilitates groups as needed.
