Qualifications

  • Lived experience with mental health, substance use, or homelessness services is required or strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills are required.
  • Completion of NYS NYCPS certification is preferred (not mandatory).
  • High School diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct service to clients in their homes, assisting with training in skills of daily living.
  • Teaches skills for personal hygiene, budgeting, meal planning, and apartment upkeep.
  • Monitors maintenance and safety of living units and reports issues to supervisor.
  • Documents services rendered and client progress in a timely manner.
