Job summary

Duke University Health System is seeking a registered nurse for the Peds Transplant & Cellular Therapy unit, DCT 4A, in Durham. The unit provides 17 beds and pediatric transplant/cell therapy care with high-risk oncology, emphasizing family-centered care and teamwork.

The role requires independent nursing care planning, evidence-based practice, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Nights schedule is three 12-hour shifts, 7 p.m.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN program and NC RN licensure.
• Twelve months of clinical experience required.
• Knowledge of nursing process and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care.
• Use nursing judgment to tailor care plans to patient needs.
• Deliver care with a patient- and family-centered approach.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other caregivers on the unit.
• Participate in rounds and act as team leader when needed.
• Maintain competencies and participate in professional development.
