Job summary

Duke Careers is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for the Peds Transplant & Cellular Therapy unit (DCT 4A) at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. The role involves independent nursing care planning, clinical rounds participation, and family-centered care with a 1:1 or 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Full-time nights, 36 hours weekly, with relocation and substantial incentive programs. Ideal candidates will demonstrate teamwork, accountability, and a commitment to high-quality pediatric

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN program.
• Twelve months of appropriate clinical experience required.
• Current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina required.
• BLS certification required.
• Pre-employment Physical Capacity Testing required.
• Knowledge of nursing scope of practice and professional theory.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care.
• Use nursing judgment to individualize care plans.
• Provide nursing services to patients and families per NC Board of Nursing scope.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other staff.
• Serve as team leader or charge nurse as assigned.
• Monitor environment and initiate corrective actions for equipment/resources.
• Maintain competencies and participate in professional development.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
