Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensure as Registered Nurse in Rhode Island or compact state.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care.
• Leads by delegating, supervising and participating in safe nursing care by staff.
• Evaluates care effectiveness and identifies improvement opportunities.
• Collaborates with healthcare team, patient, family and community services on discharge planning.
• Assesses and provides age-appropriate patient education.
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement and research.
• Maintains competency in credentialing standards and safety education.
• Serves as a role model/preceptor to new graduates.
