Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and lead nursing activities on the Rhode Island Hospital unit. You will supervise staff, assess patient needs, and participate in discharge planning with families and the multidisciplinary team.

The role requires Rhode Island RN licensure, a nursing degree (baccalaureate preferred), and ongoing credentialing including BLS and ACLS/PALS as appropriate. Night shifts are included.

Qualifications

• Licensure as Registered Nurse in Rhode Island.
• Baccalaureate in Nursing preferred.
• Ability to provide care across the life span with consideration of aging and cultural patterns.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care.
• Leads by delegating and supervising nursing care activities.
• Evaluates care effectiveness and identifies improvement opportunities.
• Collaborates with healthcare team and families for discharge planning.
• Provides age-appropriate patient education.
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement and research.
