Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care.
• Delegates and supervises nursing care.
• Evaluates effectiveness of patient care.
• Collaborates with healthcare team for discharge planning.
• Provides patient and family teaching.
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement and research activities.
• Maintains credentialing standards, BLS and ACLS/PALS as appropriate.
• Identifies growth needs and participates in educational opportunities.
• Serves as a role model/preceptor to new graduates and less experienced staff.
• Assumes charge nurse responsibilities as delegated.
