Job summary

Brookline College is seeking a Per Diem Instructor to teach clinicals, simulation, and skills labs for nursing students. The role emphasizes pediatric/postpartum clinicals and flexible scheduling, with no prior teaching experience required.

The instructor collaborates with other faculty to assess student performance, maintain records, and ensure safety and compliance with program standards.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid, active nursing license in the applicable state.
• Master of Nursing or higher degree from an accredited college or university that includes course work in nursing or education, administration, OB, Pediatrics or Psychiatry.
• At least four years' experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care.
• Clinical experience within the last five years; teaching experience not required.
• Expertise in one of the following areas: Psychiatric, Geriatrics, Med/Surg, Pediatrics, OB-Gyn, Mental Health.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with instructors to prepare, administer, and grade examinations and final evaluations.
• Manage class attendance and grade submissions.
• Assist with program planning, orientation of new faculty, and instructional quality improvement.
• Plan and supervise student clinical experiences in health care facilities.
• Provide timely feedback on clinical performance and document student records.

Education

Master of Nursing or higher degree including nursing/education coursework (OB, Pediatrics, Psychiatry)
