Job summary

Unitek Learning is seeking BSN clinical instructors to join on a per diem basis. Must have OB or Pediatrics experience and no prior teaching experience is required.

Qualifications

• RN license active by State Board of Registered Nursing.
• Master of Nursing or higher including coursework in nursing or education, administration (OB, Pediatrics).
• At least four years’ experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care.
• Clinical experience within the last five years; clinical teaching counts toward direct patient care.
• Expertise in OB‑Gyn, Pediatrics, Med/Surg, or Geriatrics as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Teach and supervise nursing students in classroom and clinical settings, focusing on obstetrics.
• Collaborate with faculty to develop, administer, and grade course materials and examinations.
• Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and clinical skills.
• Participate in curriculum development, quality improvement initiatives, and program assessment.
• Orient and mentor new faculty members in both theory and clinical instruction.
• Utilize adult learning principles and integrate technology in teaching methods.
• Maintain current knowledge of nursing practices, technologies, and safety regulations in obstetrics.
• Participate in faculty meetings, committee activities, and student advising.
• Ensure clinical assignments meet both student learning objectives and facility requirements.
• Submit required reports and forms to the program director in a timely manner.
• Maintain professional development and contribute to the nursing program's mission and goals.
