Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a full-time Care Coord/Auth/Sched Specialist for the Pediatrics: Surgery program (34,000 SHVI). Work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 40 hours/week. This role is central to patient and staff coordination, issue resolution, and cross-functional meetings. Requires a high school diploma; an associate degree is preferred, with 2+ years in a subspecialty program and leadership development opportunities.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in health, business, or related field preferred.
2+ years of experience within a specified subspecialty program (e.g., Liver/Kidney/Heart transplant, Heart Failure or Liver Failure).
Leadership development options such as committee membership, preceptorship, or participation in professional organizations/committees.
Responsibilities
Performs all functions of the Care Coord/Auth/Sched Specialist.
Serves as a central point of contact for the program for patients and staff.
Initiates and facilitates the resolution of patient issues and complaints with quality customer service.
Coordinates program-specific meetings and committees (e.g., Selection and group teaching).
Completes data entry for program quality initiatives and audits documentation for regulatory compliance.
Orders program-specific medical supplies and participates in department-wide committees.
Maintains regulatory and quality tracking spreadsheets as requested by leadership.
Education
