Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Patient Access Representative - Pediatrics for a Per Diem/Relief, Variable position. The salary range is $23.16–$31.26 per hour, with the hiring rate dependent on education, training and experience.

This role acts as a liaison between scheduling, insurance verification and pre-certification, supporting pre-visit services. Responsibilities include pre-registering patients, collecting payments, verifying coverage and obtaining prior authorizations, answering inquiries, and

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year medical office or related customer service experience.
• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to manage conflict professionally and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers/registers patients with accurate demographic and financial data.
• Collects balances, co-payments, co-insurance, or other payments.
• Verifies insurance coverage, prior authorizations, and referrals as needed.
• Responds to inquiries and provides patient support.
• Manage daily appointment schedules and reminders.
