The role emphasizes training staff, backing up support positions, coordinating with management, and assisting in EMR implementations, reporting, and data compilation to improve clinic operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with four years related experience performing clinical duties including two years performing administrative clerical duties requiring discretion and independent judgment.
• Strong communication skills and supervisory ability.
• Knowledge of clinic procedures and EMR familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a specialist in administrative clinic services for a department, including patient registration, scheduling, medical records, and compliance reporting.
• Trains and orients new staff and serves as backup for support positions as needed.
• Directs work of clinic support positions and assists in EMR system transitions and workflow coordination.
• Performs registration and scheduling duties; maintains records accuracy and responds to inquiries.
• Assists in compiling statistics and maintaining clinic supply inventory.
