Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Part Time Patient Access Representative - Pediatrics to join our team in Oregon. This 0.80 FTE, Day position handles pre-registration, insurance verification, and coordination with scheduling and pre-certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year medical office or related customer service experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers/registers patients with accurate demographic and financial data.
• Collects patient balances, co-payments, and co-insurance.
• Verifies coverage and obtains prior authorizations/referrals as needed.
• Responds to patient inquiries and assists with coverage questions.
• Manage daily appointment schedules and reminders.
• Provide department coverage as needed and may transport patients.
