Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System in Florida seeks a Registered Nurse to support the UCC Nursing Float Pool. You will plan and deliver care using nursing processes, communicate with the care team, and promote family-centered, evidence-based practice in a Magnet-designated hospital.

You will perform intakes, administer medications, assist in procedures, document timely notes, and coordinate transfers as needed, while maintaining safety and quality care across urgent care centers.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Florida or eNLC, active and in good standing.
• BLS/CPR certification maintained active.
• PALS required within 2 years of hire; active and in good standing.
• CPI required within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Communicate patient progress with physicians and care team; provide and document discharge instructions.
• Complete intakes: vitals, weight/height, symptoms, and history.
• Delegate nursing care based on staff qualifications and competencies.
• Perform intake assessments for emergency conditions.
• Administer medications per orders; monitor IV hydration and aerosol support.
• Coordinate transfers for EMTALA cases as needed.
