Job summary

Duke University Health System in Durham, NC, seeks a Nurse Manager, Operations for the Peds Transplant & Cellular Therapy unit. You will lead clinically and operationally, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and staff development with collaboration across disciplines.

The role requires 3+ years of nursing experience, NC RN licensure, and a master’s degree is preferred. On-site leadership, 24/7 coverage, and a comprehensive relocation/total rewards package are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• Master's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred.
• Current NC RN licensure and BCLS certification required.
• At least three years of nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the clinical and operational leader for the Pediatric unit, partnering with Duke Children’s leadership to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Manage and supervise functions of the assigned patient care area on a 24-hour basis, ensuring compliance with policies.
• Participate in strategic and operational planning and advocate for staff and patients.
• Interface with patients and families, drive the nursing process from admission to discharge.
• Oversee staffing, budgets, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize outcomes.
• Oversee quality improvement, patient safety, and infection prevention initiatives.
