Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a Surgical Technologist for day shift (4 x 10 hour shifts) in a benefits-eligible role. You will assist in preparing patients, organizing instruments, and maintaining sterile technique throughout procedures.

Responsibilities include supporting the RN circulator, upholding policy-driven duties, and participating in improvement initiatives. This role requires a HS diploma, BLS, and Surgical Technology program completion with certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or military training recognized.
• Current certification in Surgical Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Possesses thorough knowledge of aseptic technique and its application.
• Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments for procedures.
• Assists RN circulator in patient prep, assembly of supplies and specimens; supports room turnover.
• Performs duties according to department policy and procedure.
• Monitors sterility of supplies and ensures proper charge documentation.
• Attends in-services; participates in Performance Improvement processes.
