Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the OR team. You will assist in aseptic techniques, prepare and organize surgical supplies, and aid the RN circulator with patient prep and room turnover. Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of aseptic technique and its application.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or military training in OR tech.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider required; certification preferred.
• Ability to assist in preparation and turnover of surgical rooms and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments before, during and after procedures.
• Assists RN circulator in patient prep, assembly of supplies, and room turnover.
• Monitors sterilization activities and ensures proper, economical use of supplies; charges documented.
• Attends in-services and contributes to Performance Improvement processes.
• Supports development of policies, procedures, and standards.
