Qualifications

• Must have MS in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.
• CT licensure in good standing to practice as an SLP, with ASHA membership preferred.
• BLS certification required within two months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Interpret physician referrals to perform basic clinical evaluations.
• Engage in professional development and department in-services to stay current.
• Use equipment safely; report malfunctions and maintain equipment.
• Provide appropriate supervision of therapy assistants and students with proper documentation.
• Deliver patient care using staff and volunteers effectively and safely.
• Maintain concise and accurate patient care documentation and billing per policy.
