Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients across inpatient and outpatient settings. Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team is essential, along with supervising clinical staff and maintaining documentation.

Candidates should hold an MS in Speech-Language Pathology, graduate from an accredited program, and be eligible for CT licensure. ASHA membership is required, with BLS competency or in-process within two months of hire.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited Speech Language Pathology program or equivalent and MS degree.
  • CT license or eligibility to practice in CT; current BLS certification or obtained within two months.
  • ASHA membership required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients in inpatient and/or outpatient areas; collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide supervision to therapy assistants, clinical students, and support staff; maintain supervision and documentation.
  • Maintain concise and accurate patient care documentation and billing.
  • Engage in professional development and department in-services to expand knowledge.
  • Ensure safe equipment use; report malfunctions to supervisor.
