Job summary

Orchard Dental Group and Orthodontics in Westminster, CO is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinicians and deliver the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) for a Patient for Life (PFL). You will prepare patients for examinations, assist with procedures, and maintain a clean, organized operatory while collaborating with front office and specialty teams.

The role emphasizes active listening, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced dental environment.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED and state-mandated training for certification/licensure.
• Certificates/Licenses/Registrations as required by the state.
• Specialty dental assistants must have valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Must be able to travel to multiple offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform functions in accordance with the applicable state’s Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Actively participate in the PPE by ensuring patients stay focused on treatment and addressing concerns.
• Escort patients to/from the front desk and introduce them to team members.
• Communicate with front and back office to ensure the orthodontists schedule runs smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment; follow infection control guidelines.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist to enable efficient, quality care.
• At the direction of the clinician, complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures efficiently.
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and replenish supplies as needed.
• Explain postoperative and general oral care to patients as directed.
