Job summary

Every Kid's Dentist & Orthodontics is hiring a Dental Assistant to support clinicians and deliver the Perfect Patient Experience. You will assist with patient prep, radiographs, sterilization, and charting while maintaining a clean, friendly office environment.

You will collaborate with Specialty teams, front desk staff, and leadership to keep schedules running smoothly and ensure a Patient for Life mindset across visits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; state certification/licensure as required.
• Specialty Dental Assistants must have valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Willing to travel between offices for multiple locations.
• Background check and motor vehicle record check at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per the applicable state Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Actively participate in PPE by keeping patients focused on treatment while addressing needs.
• Escort patients to/from front desk and introduce them to team members.
• Communicate with front and back office teams to ensure the schedule runs smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, sterile operatory and disinfect instruments per guidelines.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist to enable efficient care.
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supplies in each operatory.
• Keep patients’ mouths dry using suction and other devices.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and oral health care.
• Record patient charting and clinician notes in the digital chart.
• Present treatment records, consents and health history to clinician.
• Ensure equipment is maintained per manufacturer guidelines.
• Work with Lead Dental Assistant to ensure supplies on hand.
• Learn and demonstrate use of dental technology to others.
• Participate in daily huddles and team meetings.
• Model company culture and brand standards.
• Implement PPE to gain Patients for Life.
• Maintain professional appearance in line with policies.
• Ensure compliance with company, state and regulatory rules.
