Job summary

Portland Modern Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinicians and contribute to the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE). You will prepare patients, assist with procedures, and maintain a clean, compliant clinical environment across multiple offices as needed.

The role emphasizes patient care, teamwork, and effective communication, with travel between offices and a focus on delivering high-quality dental services in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One-year certificate from an accredited college/technical school preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for specialty travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per state Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Assist clinicians and maintain PPE to keep patients focused on treatment.
• Escort patients to/from the front desk and introduce them to team members.
• Coordinate with front/back office to ensure smooth orthodontic scheduling.
• Maintain a clean, sterile operatory and comply with infection control guidelines.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist to enable efficient care.
• Capture radiographs and intraoral images as directed by the clinician.
• Prepare tray setups and manage supplies for each operatory.
