Job summary

Soar Autism Center is seeking a Speech Language Pathology Assistant to provide direct pediatric speech therapy for children aged 2–6 under the supervision of a licensed SLP. The role emphasizes AAC-based interventions within an ESDM-informed, play-based care model.

You will collaborate with OTs, RBTs, and psychologists to reinforce communication goals and support families in applying strategies at home. The position is on-site with full-time hours and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or related field meeting state requirements.
• Active state licensure or registration as an SLPA
• ASHA C-SLPA certification (if applicable)
• Experience working with children preferred; AAC experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct pediatric speech therapy sessions for children aged 2–6 under supervision of licensed SLP.
• Implement functional communication interventions, including AAC strategies and devices, in an early intervention setting.
• Integrate speech and language goals into Soar’s ESDM-informed, play-based care model.
• Collaborate with RBTs, OTs, and other clinicians to reinforce goals throughout the day.
• Partner with families to develop meaningful goals and practical strategies they can use outside of therapy.
• Support children with autism through naturalistic, play-based communication interventions.
