Job summary

Soar Autism Center in Peoria, AZ is hiring a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to deliver pediatric therapy under the supervision of a licensed SLP. You will work with children ages 2–6, using ESDM-informed play-based approaches and AAC strategies to build functional communication skills.

The role is full-time on-site with competitive base pay of $70,000–$75,000 per year, plus a yearly performance bonus up to $3,800 and opportunities for additional certifications.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech-Language Pathology meeting state requirements.
• Active state licensure or registration as an SLPA.
• ASHA-C-SLPA (C-SLPA) certification preferred.
• Experience with children and AAC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct pediatric speech therapy sessions for children ages 2–6 under supervising SLP.
• Implement functional communication interventions, including AAC strategies, in an Early Intervention setting.
• Integrate speech and language goals into ESDM-informed, play-based care model.
• Collaborate with RBTs, OTs, and other clinicians to reinforce goals throughout the day.
• Partner with families to set meaningful goals and practical strategies for home use.
• Support children with autism through naturalistic, play-based communication interventions.
