Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages. The role supports a leadership presence and serves as a clinical resource for staff and students.

The position includes a $2,500 sign-on bonus and requires IL licensure, BLS within 30 days, and ongoing education in acute stroke care. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and document in therapy EMR daily.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in IL (IDFPR).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - AHA.
• Attend and satisfactorily complete continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Collects case history information and integrates input from patient and caregivers.
• Conducts assessment procedures for speech and language pathology.
• Develops and implements a measurable plan of care.
• Interprets information to develop treatment recommendations.
• Evaluates patients with speech and feeding impairments.
• Administers standardized testing to assess function by age norms.
• Assesses feeding and swallowing impairments.
• Educates patients and caregivers on home programs.
• Coordinates with pediatric PT/OT on interventions.
• Completes daily documentation in therapy EMR.
• Meets annual requirements for senior status including supervision of students.
