Advocate Health in Winston-Salem is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders across all ages. You will develop individualized, short- and long-term goals and adjust therapy plans to maximize progress.

You will also educate patients and families, provide in-service training to staff and students, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and educators to improve patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Responsabilités

• Performs comprehensive professional evaluation of patients of all ages referred for differential diagnosis of communicative or swallowing disorders.
• Provides education to patients and families regarding communication or swallowing deficits and treatment options.
• Plans and conducts treatment programs for speech, language, voice and swallow impairments with short- and long-term goals.
• Participates in in-service education and training of interns, fellows, medical students, and allied staff; presents lectures on disorders.
• Coordinates patient caseload to ensure timely diagnosis and intervention; aims to maximize efficiency, efficacy and quality of care.
• Evaluates augmentative/alternative communication options and recommends suitable devices when needed.
• Ensures age-appropriate care and ongoing staff competency related to age-specific needs.
• Meets productivity targets and adheres to hospital standards to foster a cooperative work environment.
