Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for the Outpatient Speech Pathology department at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. This full-time role runs 8am-5pm, Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, with a pay range of $35.50-$53.25 per hour.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients of all ages, educating patients and families, planning and delivering therapy for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, and supervising interns.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum one year post CFY clinical experience; two years preferred.
• Current license in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the applicable state Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required.
• Candidate must have SLP-CCC.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations for patients of all ages referred for differential diagnosis of communicative or swallowing disorders.
• Educate patients and families about communication or swallowing deficits and treatment options.
• Plan and conduct treatment programs for speech, language, voice, and swallowing impairments; set short- and long-term goals.
• Provide and participate in in-service education and training of interns, fellows, students, and staff; present lectures.
• Coordinate and prioritize patient caseload to ensure timely diagnosis and therapy.
• Evaluate options for augmentative/alternative communication and recommend devices as needed.

Education

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)

Current license in Speech-Language Pathology
