Advocate Health in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for outpatient services. You will evaluate and treat communication and swallowing disorders across ages, using evidence-based methods and educating families.

The role requires a Master's degree in SLP, state licensure, and ASHA CCC. You will mentor interns, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to program development.

Formación

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum one year post CFY clinical experience; two years preferred.
• Current license in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the applicable state Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology issued by ASHA.
• Candidate must have SLP-CCC.

Responsabilidades

• Performs comprehensive professional evaluation of patients of all ages.
• Selects and administers evaluation instruments appropriate for the patient’s age and development.
• Educates patients and families regarding communication or swallowing deficits and treatment options.
• Provides counseling to patient and family regarding recommendations and options.
• Plans and conducts treatment programs for speech, language, voice and swallowing impairments.
• Develops short- and long-term treatment goals and implements plans to achieve them.
• Supervises and trains interns and fellows; presents lectures to staff and students.
• Participates in in-service education to keep current techniques.
• Coordinates patient caseload to ensure timely services and minimize delays.
• Assesses and recommends AAC devices when appropriate.
• Ensures age-appropriate patient care per guidelines and maintains staff competency.
• Meets productivity targets and adheres to hospital standards.
