Job summary

Shriners Children’s Spokane is seeking a full-time Appointment Coordinator to accurately schedule appointments, enter data into the computerized system, answer phones, and direct calls as needed. The successful candidate will follow established Best Practices and bring basic scheduling competencies to the assigned area.

Responsibilities include scheduling and rescheduling, patient registration and updates, using PowerChart for information, and supporting other scheduling positions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year in scheduling, registration, and insurance verification.
• Experience as a medical secretary is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, reschedule, check-in/check-out, and update appointment status.
• Register patients and manage admit/discharge tasks as needed.
• Use PowerChart to access patient data and orders as required.
• Provide coverage relief for other scheduling roles.
• Assist with medical record review and physician orders.
