Job summary

Shriners Children's Honolulu is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator for a part-time role to support perioperative scheduling for pediatric patients. The position collaborates with the Admissions Coordinator, Dental Care Manager, dentists and patient guardians to ensure patients are screened and prepared for surgical or dental services.

You will schedule procedures in EPIC and coordinate dates with families and hospital staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate surgical procedures and dental cases in EPIC.
• Coordinate surgery dates and communicate scheduling information with patients, families, and hospital staff.
• Manage surgery changes, cancellations, and rescheduling.
• Ensure required information and pre-operative needs are coordinated prior to surgery.
• Maintain accurate scheduling records and documentation.
• Communicate with multiple departments and staff members to ensure cases are properly coordinated.
• Respond to scheduling questions and follow up on outstanding items in a timely manner.
• Work closely with outreach coordinator to target dated for incoming outreach patients.
