Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) for the Pediatrics Unit at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. The role is per diem, with day shifts and a focus on coordination of pediatric care.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of pediatric acute care experience, an active NJ RN license, and certifications in PALS and BLS. A BSN is preferred, and EPIC EMR experience is valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of pediatric nursing experience in acute care.
• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing; PALS & BLS certifications.
• BSN strongly preferred; EMR experience (EPIC) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pediatric patient assessments and identify clinical changes early.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, with strong clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate timely care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly to support informed care decisions.
• Document accurately in EPIC to ensure continuity of care.
