Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) in Radiology at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. This on-site role requires an active NJ RN license, ACLS, PALS, and BLS.
The position offers a per diem schedule with one 7.5-hour shift per month and two on-call shifts monthly, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and safety. You will perform patient assessments, administer evidence-based care, document thoroughly in EPIC, and participate in interdisciplinary rounds
Qualifications
- 2+ years of nursing experience in Radiology.
- Active New Jersey RN license in good standing from an accredited school of nursing.
- ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor clinical changes.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and competently.
- Collaborate with physicians and advanced practitioners to coordinate care.
- Educate patients and families to prepare for next steps in care.
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and team communication.
- Contribute to a collaborative, safety-conscious care environment.
- Pursue ongoing professional growth through education and ladder opportunities.
