RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem coverage in the Medical-Surgical Unit-II at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. The RN will assess patients, administer care, collaborate with physicians, and educate families while maintaining precise EMR documentation.

Candidates must hold an active NJ RN license and BLS certification; a BSN is strongly preferred. This role offers per diem scheduling with day shifts and opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing and BLS certification.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing strongly preferred.
• Per diem status with day shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers for timely care decisions.
• Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families for next care phase.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record for continuity and safety.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds to improve communication and transitions of care.
• Support a collaborative team culture and ongoing professional growth.
