Job summary

105 Carolinas Medical Center is seeking a skilled RN for the 7A Pediatric Unit on a full-time night shift (7p-7a, three 12-hour shifts per week) in Charlotte, NC. This role focuses on delivering coordinated, high-quality pediatric care using the nursing process and teamwork.

The unit handles newborns to 18-year-olds across diverse diagnoses with a strong emphasis on family-centered care. Experience in pediatrics and BLS/PALS readiness are key requirements for success.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• At least 6 months RN experience; not for new graduates.
• Current RN license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• PALS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Pediatric or hematology/oncology inpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and clear communication to ensure patient safety and optimal experience.
