Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte’s Levine Children’s Hospital 4P Rehab unit seeks an experienced nurse leader to oversee day-to-day operations and staffing for the pediatric inpatient rehabilitation team.

The role involves clinical supervision, staff development, regulatory compliance, and ensuring high-quality patient care on nights (7p–7a) with 3 shifts weekly; requires BSN and active RN license. Salary range reflects night differential and hospital benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• BSN required.
• RN candidates without BSN must enroll within 1 year and complete within 3 years.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supports the manager to enhance quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
• Interviews, selects, and supervises nursing personnel in the department.
• Coordinates communication via staff meetings/huddles across shifts.
• Ensures compliance with federal/state laws and policies.
• Rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to assess care quality and satisfaction.
• Delegates care according to policy and legal parameters.
• Identifies expected outcomes to ensure continuity of care and department operations.
• Evaluates progress toward goals and shares updates with care teams.
• Performs nursing care, therapies, and administers medications as needed.
• Coordinates patient flow and staffing based on volume and acuity.
