Job summary

Advocate Health, headquartered in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an experienced RN for the 8P Progressive Care Unit to provide tiered patient care during night shifts. The 8P unit cares for pediatric progressives with a typical 3:1 patient/nurse ratio.

Qualified candidates must complete an accredited nursing program, hold a US RN license, and have BLS; ACLS/PALS must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Inpatient RN exp is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS and PALS are required within 6 months of hire.
• At least 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum.
