Job summary

Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers in Orlando, FL is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse to join our pediatric ambulatory surgery center team. The RN will provide high-quality postoperative care, monitor patients in the recovery room, and document status while coordinating with the dentist and anesthesiologist.

Ideal candidates have an active RN license, BLS, and a commitment to safe, compassionate pediatric care; ACLS/PALS are preferred and expected within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge regarding the nursing process and its application, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 60 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care for the patient in the immediate postoperative/post anesthesia period.
• Assess and document patient’s status upon arrival in the recovery room.
• Provide nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered.
• Monitoring patient and informing dentist or anesthetist of observed complications.
